In one of his vlogs, explorer Pierre Farrugia took his subscribers on a trip discovering the beautiful area known to the locals as ‘Top of World’ in the quiet Maltese village of Gharghur.

As soon as he started walking alongside the path, the breath-taking views of Malta that welcomed him, made it obvious why this area is aptly referred to as the top of the world.

From all the way up Pierre could see the Victoria lines, the 12km long wall fortifications that were built by the British as means of defence.

As he walked along further, he came across the caves known as the San Brincat caves.

Entering such caves however is always a risk. There was even a sign warning people to be careful as rocks were falling.

Nonetheless, Pierre showed his viewers the caves and they were absolutely stunning and quite huge. Ages ago they were likely used as shelter for families as back then cave dwelling was quite the norm in Malta.

There was even a small cave next to the big one that had a hole dug with in it that looked like it could have been a well.

The area is also home to a garden and picnic area where one can rest and eat while enjoying the grand view.

Pierre then came across a beautiful shrine dedicated to Saint Mary and next to it there was a whole entire miniature church made out of white pebbles. Truly amazing.
