While it might be hard to picture it given our current weather conditions, the Maltese Islands are no stranger to crazy storms (remember Hurricane Dnegel back in February?) 

So it’s no surprise that when local weather conditions get crazy, they tend to make international news, and just a few days ago, a storm compilation video posted by the UK’s Daily Mail Facebook page features our very own Mediterranean island, or rather, the very angry sea surrounding it.

Just 10 seconds into the video, a very recognisable lighthouse is filmed being lashed by towering waves, and a caption on the clip soon confirms it – yep, it’s Malta! The rest of the compilation features clips of terrifying hail storms, tornados and hurricanes, and we’re not gonna lie, it’s made us a little wary of what awaits us come stormy season!
