The area of Ghajn Tuffieha is just as beautiful in Winter as it is during the Summer.

For those that might not know where the Qarruba Pennisula is, it’s right in the middle of two of Malta’s most sought after beaches, Ghajn Tuffieha Bay and Gnejna Bay.

Although most people go to this area for a refreshing swim or a picnic, it’s still just as amazing during the winter.

It is the perfect area for a nice walk along the terrain and fields above the bays that lead up to the Qarruba peninsula.

Local explorer, Pierre Farrugia, together with his trustworthy camera takes us along the path to showcase us the breath-taking views it provides.

There are many tracks one can choose to follow along the terrain but they more or less all lead to the amazingly unique Qarruba Pennisula.

“From here one can get the best views”, Pierre tells us as he arrives on the peninsula.

One can take in a 360-degree view of Gnejna Bay, Qarraba Bay and Ghajn Tuffieha Bay!

People can even be seen sliding the peninsula slopes to get down to the tiny and secluded beaches.

As he keeps going further into the peninsula, the terrain gets rougher, and you might even have to crawl and climb a bit to find your way around.

It surely makes for quite the adventure!
