A very unusual sight took hold of the streets of Victoria, Gozo this morning…
Times of Malta has just reported that a double-decker tourist caught fire on Fortunato Mizzi Street at around 11:15am. This, in turn, led to ample traffic confusion.
A video of the incident was uploaded to social media. Plumes of smoke can be seen emerging from the rear of the bus, as many pedestrians stopped to take in the unfortunate sight.
Luckily, no passengers were on board the bus when it caught fire.
Members of the Civil Protection Department and the Malta Police Force were sent on site to control the fire. The incident is believed to have caused no injuries.
