The design on these collectable bottles shows off Malta’s defining symbols, highlighting the island’s cultural wealth. Such iconic features include the Auberge De Castille, the magnificent Triton Fountain, the medieval Mdina Gate, the old Maltese Bus, the colourful Valletta Waterfront and the traditional luzzu.

“It is with great pride that we present two new Coca-Cola limited edition bottles which celebrate Malta’s history and tradition by portraying some of our most iconic landmarks and cultural events,” said Maria Micallef, CEO of GSD Marketing Ltd, during the launch event last week. And, they’re pretty darn cool! We’re loving the vintage vibe, too!

The company also announced that “a percentage of the proceeds from the sales of these limited-edition bottles will be donated to the Heritage Malta Fund. This project is testimony of our commitment to continue to work with the local community at different levels and further promote our country’s rich heritage.”

Mycoke Malta’s brand manager, Terence Gatt also spoke to us about these snazzy new bottles. “This initiative came from both Malta and Coca-Cola international in order to celebrate Maltese culture. The idea was to link local culture with an international brand.” Mr Gatt also stated that this is a continuity from last year’s initiative when the special edition Valletta 18 bottles were released. “We decided to continue where we left off and so, we introduced these new bottles which showcase our culture.” They definitely bring something new to the table – literally!

See the brand-new bottles come to life here!
