Valletta is officially flipping the festive switch this evening! At 5:30pm tonight (Tuesday 25th November), the capital’s Christmas lights will be illuminated, starting with the street decorations and ending with the big moment everyone’s waiting for: the lighting of the Valletta Christmas tree.

But that’s not all… This year’s tree designer, Henry Galea, has been teasing something extra for anyone heading to Valletta tonight. In his latest Instagram stories, he shared a video showing a truck carrying what appear to be large, wrapped statues being transported into the city, hinting that more festive installations may be popping up around the capital.

What’s the mystery décor? There’s only one way to find out: head to Valletta at 5:30pm and catch the magic yourself!

Will you be there?
