According to several local weather reports, “very dangerous storms” are forecast to hit the Maltese Islands this afternoon, with thunder and large hail stones expected to carry on into the night.

According to the Malta Weather Page on Facebook, “rain amounts could vary between 10-75mm and could fall in a few minutes so FLOODING is our main concern.” You know what that means – seek shelter and avoid the roads, they’re likely to get a little crazy!

Oh, and it seems like our umbrellas won’t save us either, thanks to the “strong Easterly air flow possibly reaching force 8-9 WINDS” so there’s really nothing else for it – time to plan some fun indoor activities!
