Tuesday 29th September 2020: 29 new cases & 85 recoveries of COVID-19 for Malta & Gozo
The Health Ministry has just published official figures.
According to the figures published by the Health Authority’s Facebook page, Sahha, Malta has registered 29 new cases of COVID-19 after 2,116 swabs were done in the past 24 hours.
The post also noted that, “Today’s cases are still being investigated. From yesterday’s cases: 7 cases were family members of previously known cases, 1 case was a direct contact of another positive case, 1 case was from St Joseph Home cluster, 2 cases were imported, 2 cases were contacts of positive work colleagues, 1 cases from Paceville cluster and 1 case related to social gathering with other positive cases.”
The islands have registered a whopping 85 more recoveries, bringing the total recovery tally to 2,484 and the number of active cases down to 517. Since the outbreak, Malta has recorded 3,035 cases and has performed 251,772 swab tests.
