Truly enchanting! See all the photos from ‘Mixghela’, yesterday’s candlelit display outside Gozo’s churches
A yearly and anticipated tradition!

Emma Galea

In the lead up of the celebration of All Saints Day (1st November), all of Gozo’s Parish churches participated in the yearly event, Mixghela.

All of Gozo’s churches set up an enchanting candle lit structure in front of the church, celebrating their parish’s saint.

In addition to that, every year there is a different theme that unites all the churches in Gozo. This year’s theme was ‘peace’ to show solidarity with the war thorn conflicts that the world is going through.

Just in case, you didn’t get the chance to go round Gozo to visit all the remarkable structures, we have gathered some amazing photos so you could get the opportunity to admire them nonetheless.
