Ongoing roadworks in one of Malta’s main arteries will see the closure of the slip road connecting the southbound carriageway of the Marsa-Hamrun Bypass to the roundabout beneath this road’s flyover tonight, with the direction towards Hamrun and Qormi effectively closed.
The majority of planned works will take place at night so as not to interfere with the area's constant heavy flow of traffic. Closed from tonight at 8pm till 5am tomorrow morning and again at 8pm till 5am on Friday morning, the slip road will be unaccessible to oncoming vehicles.
While diversion signs have been erected to help drivers on the road steer in the right direction, now might be a good time to whip out good ol' reliable Google Maps for an alternate route home.
