An accidental find has lead to a national hunt for Tracey Poleo, who's on a mission to identify the people in recently unearthed pictures, believed to date back decades.

What a treasure!

Tracey stumbled upon a set of pictures in Gozo, where a house was being emptied with old objects thrown away: "It was fascinating, we had a quick scrabble as the skip was already there when we got there so saved what caught my eye," she said, adding that the delightful building felt like a time capsule.

What a treasure!

Taking to a local Facebook group to share the pictures, Tracey revealed that in the 24 hours since being published, some of the people in the picture have already been identified as the Rapa and Attard familes. While some of the relatives are currently living in Ghajnsielem, others have since passed away.

What a treasure!

Tracey highlights the beauty behind these pictures and expresses a desire to find out more about the people photographed. Have a look through the photos in this article and see if there's anyone you may know:

What a treasure!

When she’s not having a quarter-life crisis, Caroline is either drawing in a café, frittering her salary on sushi or swearing at traffic in full-on Gozitan. There is also the occasional daytime drink somewhere in the equation. Or two. A creative must be allowed at least one vice.
