Malta is still reeling from last weekend’s hair-raising winds. Now bracing for round two, this slew of unfavourable weather has left us worn out way before winter has the chance to unleash its own storms!

Luckily for of us, reminders of the beauty of our islands (especially in warmer climates) are all around us. One recently released video, a time-lapse of many of Malta’s most beautiful facets, has warmed us up like no cup of tea could.

This time lapse video of Malta will have you desperately yearning for summer

With stunning shots taken over a long period of time in locations such as Upper Barrakka Gardens in Valletta, Mdina bastions, the Citadel in Gozo and Dingli cliffs the video showcases Malta's best. The bright sun reflecting off the Maltese limestone, the lull of the calm blue sea with the sun setting in the background, and the warm breeze we can almost feel through the screen are only a few things that we miss about a Maltese summer. But have faith, only 185 days left till summer 2020!

When she’s not having a quarter-life crisis, Caroline is either drawing in a café, frittering her salary on sushi or swearing at traffic in full-on Gozitan. There is also the occasional daytime drink somewhere in the equation. Or two. A creative must be allowed at least one vice.
