It’s all happening this November.
Ever heard of a Repair Café? Us neither, until now! And on Saturday 23rd November, you can discover what it’s all about for yourself. Here’s the deal.

With a vision to combat modern society’s ‘throw away’ culture (don’t deny it, y’all), Friends of the Earth Malta in collaboration with Valletta Design Cluster and Zibel are hosting an interesting concept – a Repair Café, where you can bring along a broken object that you want help fixing, or simply join in and learn.
Taking place at the San Gorg Preca Primary School in Valletta, the interesting café concept will kick off at 9am on 23rd November and run until 1pm. It will feature stations for clothing repair, upcycling, woodwork and toy repair, electronic appliance repair and phone and laptop diagnostics – that’s quite a few items they can help you sort out!

Apart from that, it will also be a café in the traditional sense too, offering tea, coffee and treats, except get this – they’ll all be free!
Set up as “a way of sharing our knowledge, helping each other out, and learning how to easily fix things”, we commend these organisations for a super initiative, and might be rooting around for something to take along ourselves.

Check out the Friends of the Earth Malta website for more details – we’ll see you there!
