This Liverpool FC legend is coming to Malta for an evening of music, comedy and stories
Listen up all Liverpool FC fans! You’ve had quite the weekend, winning the league and all, but this should really put the cherry on your cake. Top ex-Liverpool footballer Jan Molby is coming Malta!

Molby will be hitting the City Theatre stage in Valletta for one night only on 20th June in a fantastic event with live music, comedy, and stories from the international football legend himself. Comedian Jamie Sutherland, who has sold out numerous performances, and singer/songwriter Tricia McTeague, who has worked with the likes of Ronan Keating and Simon Cowell, will also be featured during this event.
“All football fans will recognise the name Jan Molby,” says Allan Asterud, organiser of this event. “This evening offers fans to hear from a man who shared the dressing room with legends like Johan Cruyff, Ian Rush, John Barnes, Peter Schmeichel and many others.” This event will give the chance to fans to hear about all the locker room stories.
Born in Denmark and nicknamed The Great Dane, Molby is considered to be one of the most influential foreign imports to have ever participated in English football. He spent years playing for Liverpool FC, scoring 44 goals from midfield and also lifting the league title for the last time in Liverpool’s history back in 1990 (before this weekend, obvs).
But Molby is here for another reason too. During his stay in Malta, the legendary footballer will also be promoting awareness about the importance of heart screening, a cause that is close to his heart. He will also be helping to raise funds for The Maltese Cardiac Society.
This event combining football, comedy and music still start at 5pm sharp when the outdoor Fan Zone opens, kicking things off with Tricia McTeague’s performance. At 7pm there will be a Meet and Greet with Jan Molby for VIP and Platinum ticket holders. Later on at 8pm, the comedy show headlined by Jamie Sutherland will commence, followed by Jan Molby himself who will be taking the stage to share stories from his exceptional career.
