They've done it again! Zibel collects whopping amount of waste from St Julian's seabed
Way to go, Zibel! The local environment conservation organisation have collection yet another whopping amount of waste from local seabeds, this time in St Julian’s. The organisation, together with a number of volunteers, collected 1436.19kg (that's 1.43 tonnes) of waste.

Zibel thanked all those involved during last Saturday’s clean-up, including 60+ dive, snorkel and coastal volunteers. “It’s great seeing such diverse turnouts month over month, not to mention the Systems of Knowledge students who’ve been with us all throughout the year,” they said in their post to socials.

The clean-up, which was organised by Zibel, Raniero’s Adventures, Live Life & No To Plastic Malta, resulted in kilos upon kilos of waste removed from the bay’s bed. These included:
1. Recyclable ocean plastic: 72.6kg
2. Recyclable ocean plastic bottles: 10kg
3. Glass: 50.08kg
4. Metal: 28kg
5. General: 241kg

6. Tyres: 238kg
7. Fishing gear: 56kg
8. Batteries: 22kg
9. Bulky waste: 717.87kg
10. Bottle caps: 0.5kg
