These roads in St Julian’s will be closed from TODAY ahead of the feast celebrations

Another summer weekend, another local feast! Up next is the feast of St Julian in St Julian’s this weekend. While lots will be going on, including the famous gostra event which sees competitors attempting to run across a greasy pole, several roads will be closed due to the festivities.

Here’s the list of roads that will be closing, starting today:

1. Thursday 22nd August

Between 8.30pm and midnight: Lapsi Street, Main Street, Sacred Heart of Jesus Square, Wied Ghomor Street, Forrest Street, Mensija Street, St George’s Street, Ross Street, Luigi Apap Street, Francis Zammit Street, Mikiel Ang Borg Street, Tigullio parking area.

2. Friday 23rd August

Between 8pm and 1am: Birkirkara Hill, St Angelo Street, Lapsi Street, Main Street, St George’s Street, Francis Zammit Street, St Andrew Street, Maguerite Mangion Street, Elija Zammit Street, Dragonara Road, Ball Street, Ross Street, Wilga Street, Church Street, Dobbie Street, Paceville Avenue, Luigi Apap Street, Sacred Heart of Jesus Square, Mikiel Ang Borg Street, Tigullio parking area.
