It’s not every locality that can boast a gorgeous promenade with benches that are bursting with colour. The Sliema promenade has just been embellished with these sweet rainbow benches, and we love them! But what's the story?

The Foundation for Tourism Zone Development (FTZD) said they are “committed to embellish and upgrade the product within our tourism zones.” And the benches in Sliema are not the only ones on the island! “We already produced other innovative design benches such as the ones in Marsaxlokk, which resemble the famous luzzu.”

These rainbow benches will brighten up the Sliema shores, and the FTZD are working tirelessly to make our promenades a more modern place. “Our works are not solely related to upgrading or increasing benches, but include several other interventions from promenades to beaches to modern street furniture,” they say.
