These 15 Maltese localities will be affected by planned power cuts THIS week

A few localities around the islands are set to undergo planned power cuts this week due to maintenance works on the country’s hard-at-work power grid.

Fortunately, Enemalta, our local electricity provider, has published a list of localities that will be undergoing some planned maintenance works over the weekend. This way, you too can plan ahead.

These maintenance works are carried out regularly to ensure that the national electricity grid operates safely.

Only select streets from the following localities will be affected.

Here’s the full list of affected areas.

Tuesday 25th October:

  • Balzan from 4am to 11am
  • Zabbar from 7am to 1pm
  • Msida from 8am to 1pm
  • Gharghur from 4:30am to 7:30am
  • Mosta from 5:30am to 7:30am, and from 9am to 12:30pm
  • Siggiewi from 8am to 4pm

Wednesday 26th October:

  • Mosta from 4:30am to 7:30am, and from 8:30am to 12:30pm
  • Ghaxaq from 7am to 2:30pm, and from 7am to 1pm
  • Balzan from 4am to 11am
  • Gudja from 7am to 1pm
  • Birzebbuga from 8am to 12pm
  • Dingli from 8am to 2pm

Thursday 27th October:

  • Xghajra from 7am to 11am
  • Gharghur from 4:30am to 7:30am
  • Pietà from 7am to 2pm
  • Birkirkara from 7am to 4pm
  • Sliema from 8am to 1pm

Friday 28th October:

  • Haz-Zebbug from 7am to 4pm
