This weekend, the Valletta Green Festival is happening at St George’s Square in Republic Street, and it has transformed the historic location into a colourful floral installation. And obviously, passers-by couldn’t resist snapping a few shots and posting them on Insta, because let’s face it, they’re totes #Instaworthy. 1. This year is the sixth edition of the Valletta Green Festival
2. Don’t miss out! The festival started on Thursday morning and will continue till Sunday
3. A whopping 190,000 potted plants were used to create the incredible floral arrangements
4. Over the weekend, various NGO stands will be distributing information on how to safeguard the environment
5. This edition also aims to create awareness of the environmental harm caused by single-use plastic products
6. There will be live entertainment on some days for you to enjoy the fantastic surroundings (& possibly a drink or two in the area!)
7. The event has been hailed as a legacy of the Valletta 2018 programme
8. After the festival, the potted plants will be donated to local communities. Such a sweet gesture!
