Malta is set to bid farewell to 2023 and welcome 2024 in grand style, with the much-anticipated National New Year's Eve Celebration in St George's Square. The event promises to be the largest gathering of its kind in the country, expecting over 50,000 attendees.
The night's festivities, starting at 8:30 pm and concluding at 2 am, will feature performances by local artists, including Lara and the Jukeboys band and The Palace String Orchestra led by Ryan Paul Abela. A lineup of top local talents, such as AIDAN, Drakard, Klinsmann, Jasmine, Megan May, Sarah Bonnici, and special guest Emma Muscat, will guide the audience through a musical journey encompassing the best of 2023 and timeless classics.
The event will be hosted by Ron, Taryn Mamo Cefai, and Keane Cutajar, and it promises a spectacular countdown moment with DJ Koroma & DJ Miggy providing a mash-up set of dance anthems, accompanied by stage special effects and fireworks. To ensure accessibility, special services with extended hours for public transportation and an operational public lift will be introduced.
Organised by G7 Events and supported by the Valletta Cultural Agency, the National New Year's Eve Celebration is a collaborative effort within the Ministry for National Heritage, the Arts, and Local Government, with the contribution of the Malta Tourism Authority.
