The Maltese Islands were a beaut this week, but what’s in store for the weekend?
Here’s what to expect!

Jillian Mallia

We’ve had incredible weather this week despite autumn being in full swing, with warm but pleasant breezes and sunny skies, and these gorgeous shots taken on the islands over the last few days show just that. Here are some locations that were looking particularly fab.

1. Blue Lagoon

Blue Lagoon is still a popular spot, even as October comes to a close. The sea is still relatively warm at this time of year, so why not take what could be your last dip of 2019?

2. Touchdown!

Imagine landing on the Maltese Islands to this view. I mean, can it get any better?

3. Sunrise in the city

The sun shone brightly and glistened on the glorious capital city of Valletta. What a view!

4. Hidden gems

How stunning can this tiny island get? Comino is full of hidden treasures just waiting to be explored. Here’s hoping the weather will hold up a little longer for us to enjoy as much as we can.

5. The capital

It was a great week to sit outside one of the cafés or bars in the capital. Because let’s face it, we need that dose of caffeine and/or booze at any hour of the day.

Unfortunately for us thought, it’s looking like some proper autumnal gloom and doom are coming to our islands this weekend. Tomorrow will be mostly cloudy, but Mother Nature will be bringing out the big guns over the weekend. Because obviously, when we’ve got a free weekend she does this. #ThanksTa

Saturday is expected to have thundery showers, while regular showers are expected on Sunday. Temps will reach 24°C at the max and will go down to about 18°C. Wind force will be between Forces 2 and 4. I know, sad right? Here’s another gorgeous shot of the Maltese Islands earlier in the week to cheer you up. Hopefully it'll get back to this soon!
