The Malta Police Force is appealing to locals to remain at home during these trying times and that we get through these times “only through collective effort.”

“Our job is to constantly be on the front line whilst also getting on with our daily mission to promote and maintain a safe a secure environment - Yours is to stay at HOME,” they said on Facebook this morning.

“Your applause and appreciations make our toughest of days worthwhile, but they are unfortunately not enough in this situation. Regardless of the beautiful weather, we are all required to give a helping hand in this situation,” they said.

They urge people to remain indoors and to observe regulations. “Stay at Home & let’s #flattendcurve2gether.”
