A symbol of national heritage! Grand Master’s Palace in Valletta to hold special opening this Sunday
Animated guide tours will be provided both in Maltese and English.
Following extensive restoration efforts, the iconic Grand Master’s Palace will be welcoming the public during a special opening on Sunday 5th May.
The Palace will be open at a reduced price with “a captivating programme of activities.”
Nestled in the heart of Valletta, the Grand Master’s Palace stands as a symbol of national heritage, commanding attention in St George’s Square.
Whilst strolling through its historic corridors, visitors have the opportunity to travel through time as its history spans more than four centuries and shaped our country as we know it today.
During this special opening, animated guide tours will provide insights into the Palace’s history. Tours will be conducted both in Maltese and English, with sessions scheduled at 9:30am (Maltese), 10:30am (English), 11:30am (Maltese) and 12:30pm (English).
Pre-booking on the website or any Heritage Malta Museum or site is required for these tours.
Adding to the event’s allure, the Malta Historical Fencing Association and the Fridericus Rex Malta Falconers will hold demonstrations of their skills and the sharing of their knowledge with curious guests.
Those interested in becoming Heritage Malta members will have an opportunity to do so. Students and seniors will be able to collect their Heritage Malta passports on the day.
Additionally, the Palace will be open to the public from 9am until 6pm.
