The heat is ON! 7 things to do to stay cool, calm and collected in this heatwave
Thank us later.

heatwave in Malta has started and that only means one thing: we’re frustrated with EVERYTHING. The heat is getting to us and we’re sweating in places we didn’t know existed. So, to avoid all these bad vibes and remain as fresh as possible, here are seven things to do to keep cool, calm and collected in this heat.

1. Ixghel, bro!

You know there’s a heatwave when all you’re doing is cranking up that A/C. Viva l-kont tad-dawl!

2. Drink up!

Glug down as much water as you can, but if it’s past 5pm, you’re allowed one glass (or four) of your favourite booze. Either way, stay hydrated kids!

3. Keep blinds shut

Keep blinds, shutters and curtains shut to keep out the sun’s rays. Vampire Mode: ON!

4. Delliklu hemm!

If you’re braving the heat, splat on that sunblock like the Brits do (#snowmanfashion) to protect your skin from the sun.

5. Sun gear!

Get your Gucci on and sport your fav sunnies and hat when heading out during the peak hours of sunshine. You’ll be protecting yourself and looking faboo, hunny. #WinWin

6. Camp inside

While we love a good tan, it’s going to get pretty HAWT up in here. So, our advice is to camp inside binging on your fav TV series or getting through your latest read. Sounds like a plan!

7. Shower time!

Apart from smelling gross (don’t even try to deny it – we’ve all been there), a heatwave will definitely require frequent showers. Stay under the cool running water, or if you’re bougie enough, fill up the bath tub and have a relaxing cold bath to cool off. #Chill

Keep your cool, kids!
