Take note! Mriehel bypass closed after huge tree collapses and blocks road
Nobody was harmed.

Emma Galea

As a result of this morning’s strong wind, a tree has collapsed by the Mriehel bypass.

The part of the Mriehel bypass that leads to Marsa is now closed to all motorists.

The Malta Police Force has taken to social media to advise drivers to seek a different route.

No time frame has been given as of yet for when the road will open to vehicles again.

Thankfully, no pedestrians, drivers or passengers were injured.
