Take Note! Majjistral Nature and History Park’s Prajjet road closed till the end of next week
The area will still be open to pedestrians.

The Majjistral Nature and History Park team has taken to Facebook to let their visitors know that Prajjet road is undergoing road works and will therefore be closed till the end of next week.

The works are largely due to the roadworks being done near Popeye’s village and the road itself is also being resurfaced.

“The road is blocked with barriers near the viewpoint and vehicles cannot go down the one way road since there is then no way to go up again in a safe manner”, they wrote.

“Visitors can still walk in the area, however the cars will have to be left parked at the viewpoint”, they continued.

They also went on to warn people about parking in front of the barriers as in the case of emergencies the Rangers or other emergency service providers will still need easy access to the road.

However, even though the road is closed, the park’s rangers have contacted the Water Services Corporation and they “have gained access to continue doing motorcycle Patrols to make sure that Site Regulations are adhered to”.
