Sunday swim? These are Malta’s NINE most family-friendly beaches
A family day out doesn’t have to be stressful!

Benjamin Abela

Few things are as blissful and relaxing as a slow day by the beach, that is, unless you’ve got your kids to keep an eye on.

Let’s face it – beaches aren’t exactly the most practical spots for a family day out but, then again, who are we to keep our kids from enjoying some of Malta’s best natural offerings?

Believe it or not, having a fun-filled and family-friendly day by the beach is all down to one very important factor: choosing the right bay.

So, in a bid to make summer outings a breeze for all those parents looking to take advantage of Malta’s luscious beaches, we’ve gone ahead and listed all of the island’s family-friendly bays.

Just so we’re clear, we’re only considering a beach to be ‘family-friendly’ if it satisfies all of the following criteria:

  • It’s sandy; why should you spend your down-time worrying about your kids getting hurt?
  • There are public toilets nearby; need we elaborate?
  • It’s accessible; long-winding stairs and steep, rocky slopes are literally recipes for disaster.
  • Food and drink kiosks are close at hand; you deserve a break from the kitchen!

Now, onto the beaches!
