You will be missed!

Maltese festas will never be the same as an integral person has gone to meet the Risen Lord. News spread yesterday that Twanny Vella, known locally as Twanny tad-Doughnuts passed away. And now, locals are mourning the loss of the lovely Maltese festa vendor.

One local shared his “shock” at the news of Twanny’s death, sharing a photo from the Balluta festa back in 2015. “I offer my condolences to Grace and his family members,” he shared. “Rest in Peace Twanny and thank you for everything.”

MP Karl Gouder, who was Sliema’s Mayor a while back, also shared the same photo, offering his condolences. “A lovely soul has passed away today. Twannie you are going to be missed. Condolences to all the family especially your lovely wife. Festas are going to be very different without you.”

The Ghaqda Muzikali San Gorg Martri expressed their condolences in a post on Facebook and said that he was a generous benefactor for the band club.
