Stunning! This local photographer posts breathtaking shots of tranquil life in Malta
Malta is such a beauty - one that has been photographed by locals and visitors alike for years, and it’s not hard to see why. With stunning seascapes, architecture and history that’s just flowing through the country, Malta captured the eye of this local photographer.
Meet Manwel Xerri, a Maltese photographer with an eye for detail and love for Malta and her gorgeous landscapes. Manwel shares his incredible shots on his Instagram page @maltascapes and on his Facebook page.
Manwel says that he wants “to share the experience of exploring and discovering the Maltese Islands, which while small in size, offer a treasure trove of hidden gems for those who explore a bit deeper.”
And what makes this photographer unique is the incredible shots showing tranquillity, peace and the lesser known places on the islands. “I like focusing more on places and areas which are often overlooked or not widely known by the general public, especially historic places which are under threat by over development or neglect.”
Manwel has explored an abundant number of nooks, crannies, seascapes and hideaway spots on the Maltese Islands. From abandoned places and secluded areas, to the grandeur of Maltese architecture and the deep blue, which is Manwel's all-time fav spot on our islands? “That would have to be the Pembroke area as it has a wide range of historic and natural areas to explore and discover.”
