Young Maltese fashion photographer and visual artist based in London, Stephanie Galea, is quickly making a name for herself, working with myriad high-profile brands and labels to produce some truly stunning photos. And her latest is this stunning fashion editorial for Vogue Italia, shot between Good Friday and Easter Sunday in Malta, during the religious celebrations held in Birgu.

Using the town’s famed religious processions as a backdrop, the story follows Hilda, a wealthy widow and resident of the town, who “puts on her best clothes and navigates through the festivities, showing off her best clothing to the other colourful Birgu residents.”

IMG’s Monica Cima is the model who shines throughout the editorial, pictured mingling with the members of Birgu’s San Lawrence Band Club and other locals and residents.

Apart from the talented photographer herself, the team also featured other local talent, including Photographic Assistant Gulja Holland and make-up by Jean Zammit, with hair taken care of by Eduardo Bravo, and fashion direction by Sally Anne Bolton.
