No way! Two Maltese officer-cadets, Neil Spiteri and Aaron Zammit, pulled off a surprise double proposal at their commissioning ceremony in Dublin yesterday and everyone is SHOOKETH!
As reported by The Irish Times, the ceremony swears in the cadets and this year and the class of 2019/20 included six local recruits who were training at the Cadet School in Curragh.
Among those were the men of the hour, Second Lieutentants Neil Spiteri, 30, and Aaron Zammit, 24.
The now-sworn in lieutenants hatched a plan to propose to their respective girlfriends, Nadesh Barbara, 27, and Amy Zammit, 20, at the same time after the ceremony. Obviously, the girls said YES! Nadesh and Neil’s son, Lydon was reportedly also present.
What a proposal! Congrats to the couples.
