The charitable organisation RMJ’s Horse Rescue has issued a called for monetary help from locals to save a horse called Urac, after admitting to struggling to make ends meet.

“As can be seen from the photo he is in bad shape. We usually don't think twice about taking in a horse in this condition but we just cannot keep on saying yes and hoping for the best,” they say in a Facebook post.

“We are spending sooo much money on fixing up the new place and we have fallen behind on feed bills. At some point we have to be able to realise when we are taking on more than we can handle.” The organisation revealed each horse’s monthly costs add up to €300 per horse.

RMJ’s Horse Rescue is now asking the public to lend a helping hand, to hopefully give this horse the care he needs. “We weren't even going to mention anything but we just cannot not even try and help. So, we are turning to you to help us help him. This boy is brother to our very own stunning Volcan Piya who was rescued from slaughter 2 years ago. We want to give him the same happy life Volcan has. So, at this stage we need people who will step in and cover his costs,” they appeal.

“It can be a joint effort. We are willing to take him in if we know that we will not be falling further behind on bills by saving him. He is still 10 years old. Get in touch if you can help.”
