Miguel was just 22 years old.

Miguel Borg, a recent engineering graduate from the University of Malta (UM) has tragically passed away after a fight with a terminal illness.

In spite of his condition, Miguel had managed to finish his last year at University and thus, get his engineering degree.

Last September, a special graduation ceremony was held at Miguel’s home, wherein UM Rector Prof Alfred J. Vella personally handed him his hard-earned bachelor’s degree certificate.

“Our deepest condolences go to the family and friends of Miguel Borg,” UM wrote on social media this morning.

The unfortunate news was announced by his sister this morning, wherein she kindly asked for donations to be given to Puttinu Cares instead of the traditional flowers.

His funeral will be held next Saturday, 29th October at Our Saviour’s Church in Lija at 9:15am.

Our deepest condolences go out to Miguel’s friends and family.
