Record-breaking run: Dillon Cassar clocks Malta's fastest ever Half Marathon time
Dillon Cassar has done it again! The local marathon runner has once again smashed records with his half-marathon time, marking the fastest ever Maltese time for 21km on local soil: 64 minutes and 56 seconds!
He recently improved on his own personal best at the Valencia Half Marathon in October 2025, achieving an impressive 1:05:43, and now he’s gone and bested himself once again.
He wrote an impassioned post on social media expressing his excitement at this achievement, claiming that he’s ‘absolutely thrilled with today’s Half Marathon performance’.
He thanked his dad and coach for his relentless support through the gruelling training, calling him ‘an incredible coach who motivates me every day to become the best version of myself’.
He also congratulated his fellow athletes, and encouraged them all to ‘keep building’.
