Ready, steady, sift! It’s beach clean-up season & Zibel are back with their first one
Help Mother Nature out!

They’re back! Beach clean-up season is upon us and Zibel are already planning the first one on the list. Golden Bay will be the first to receive some TLC, cleaning up what was washed up in winter.

Various activities are planned for the event and Zibel are looking for people to help out in the process. The event, being held on Saturday 21st March from 9.30am till 1pm, involves sand sifting (get ready to workout those guns, baby) and a coastal clean-up.

Sand Siftrers: “We’ll be splitting the beach into rows and splitting up volunteers into small teams of 3, each with a dedicated row. We'll then show you how to properly sift sand in an ordered manner to maximise our efforts on the day.”

Coastal clean-up: “If you’re not joining us sifting, you can lend a hand with sorting or join in the land crew to scour the area.”

What to get involved?

Zibel will be providing everything you need including:

1. Water that can be refilled from their dispenser – make sure you bring a reusable flask/bottle.

2. Sunblock

3. Gloves and bags

4. First Aid on site

All you need to do is show up, and get ready to shake, sift, and pick up stuff that will help this beach look mighty fine come summer.
