Rain showers hit the Maltese Islands last night but will they continue throughout the week?
We all woke up to a weird surprise this morning.

Stepping out of the house this morning, you’d have noticed a certain difference. It’s actually COOLER today and the sky is pretty cloudy. Whaaat?

You were probably actually enjoying the pleasant breeze this morning as you walked to your car, but then you might have gotten the shock of the summer. Your car was dirty. Excuse me? I just washed my car a few days ago! Rain is NOT meant to pour down in mid-summer!

But will this pesky weather continue this week?

According to Malta Weather, there’s a 45 per cent chance of thunderstorms today with maximum temps of 30°C and lows of 23°C. Woah – that’s quite the shift from last week’s heatwave which had "feels like" temps of over 40°C. It was so hot that locals actually fried an egg outside!

And there’s more! Tomorrow should be windy with isolated showers (an 86 per cent chance) with temperatures reaching 29°C and lows of 23°C. Wednesday should be partly cloudy with only 3 per cent chance of rain. On Thursday, we’ll get back to square one, because the Maltese islands should be experiencing isolated showers (68 per cent chance) with temperatures hitting highs of 27°C only!

The weekend is looking like a pleasant one, too, with temps reaching highs of 32°C and "feels like" temperatures of 36°C on Sunday. But a lot can change in a week, so stay tuned for more!
