Proceed with caution! Mriehel Bypass welcomes new temporary lanes
Take note!

Kim Vella

As roadworks persist all over the country, Malta’s roads are starting to look like an unfinished maze of sorts...

To make your commute as smooth as possible, we’re here to let you know exactly which detours or diversions might affect your route.

The latest road to experience significant alterations is the Mriehel Bypass.

This weekend, new temporary lanes were added at the junction between l-Imdina Road and the Mriehel Bypass, that is, next to the MFSA offices.

Taking to social media, Infrastructure Malta informed motorists of “two southbound lanes towards the bypass through its service road and a new hairpin turn to Balzan, Attard, and Rabat along the same route.”

Tunnel excavation of the Mriehel Underpass Project are also in progress.
