Beat the traffic!

Plan ahead tonight, folks! The busy Spinola junction in St Julian’s will be closed from 8pm onwards to continue final roadworks in the area. The last asphalt layer is expected to be laid this week, Infrastructure Malta said on Facebook.

Due to the upgrading works at Spinola, St George’s Road from Paceville to Spinola (and vice versa) will be closed between 8pm and 5am, as well as the M.A Vassalli Road to Spinola (from 11pm), and George Borg Olivier Road from Balluta to Spinola. #HassleBro

But don’t fret! The extensive project that started last week is expected to be completed this week, with a new junction in place to help ease traffic in the busy St Julian’s area. Thanking the public for its cooperation, Infrastructure Malta said, “we are upgrading this junction for increased safety, reduced travel times and improved air quality at Spinola Bay.”
