In recent years, the month of October has increasingly been dedicated towards supporting breast cancer survivors and educating women about the disease. Now, this local organisation is searching for volunteers to bring some comfort to those women who are currently battling the illness.

We Give Joy is not solely associated with the fight against breast cancer but this month, it is stepping in to bring an ounce of joy and indulgence to breast cancer sufferers by celebrating their strength and helping them to feel beautiful.

In a public Facebook call, the organisation joins the Aurora Support Service to address beauticians, makeup artists, nail technicians and complimentary therapists by asking for their support for Beauty Week; an event dedicated specifically to the pampering of suffering women. Those in possession of these skills will only need to spare a couple of hours of their time to help these women feel beautiful and by extension, letting them know that they are not alone in this fight.

Beauty Week is being held at the wards of SAMOC, Mater Dei between the 21^st and the 25^th October. Interested volunteers can contact We Give Joy directly to participate.
