The two four-wheelers were seen scaling parts of the hillock, otherwise known as il-Qolla l-Bajda within the limits of Marsalforn, Gozo, with the group of friends stopping to take snaps of their rides.

Photos of the group soon made their way online, and the pictures received huge backlash from people fearing that the rock scaling would cause irreparable damage to the already crumbling clay underneath.

Many were quick to brand the youths as vandals, but several were those who defended them by pointing out that the hillock is already full of dust and due to that, tyres would not leave a mark.

When she’s not having a quarter-life crisis, Caroline is either drawing in a café, frittering her salary on sushi or swearing at traffic in full-on Gozitan. There is also the occasional daytime drink somewhere in the equation. Or two. A creative must be allowed at least one vice.
