It’s possibly the worst-kept secret in Malta. After it was announced that American coffee-giant Starbucks will open here in 2019, those involved in the launch have been staying tight-lipped about where and when people can start enjoying a Pumpkin Spiced Latte. Despite this, there have long been whispers that the new café will open at the Valletta Waterfront, and we're excited!

An insider close to the Valletta Waterfront said: “You’d have to be living under a rock not to know that Starbucks is coming. But in terms of a timeline, we’re not able to give that information yet.”
Last summer, it was announced that Starbucks would open in the second quarter of this year, which would suggest doors could open any time between April and June.
