Oops! Travellers visit Gozo to shoot stunning footage but find Azure Window collapsed
No great video comes without its fair share of hilarious behind the scenes moments
Sometimes we tend to forget how beautiful home really is until a traveller shows us it through their own eyes. Such is the case with photographer Kristin Thorogood and cinematographer Andre Dupuis, who spend a good chunk of their time travelling around the world and capturing some really cool footage of the places and sights they visit and witness.
Their videos are shared through Kristin’s YouTube account, and the pair’s most recent clip has caught our attention for more reasons than one. Barely a minute long, the video showcases Gozo at its absolute best, with 47 seconds of breath-taking 4K footage capturing the island’s most flattering angles.
Despite their successful filming session, their trip to Gozo came with one nasty surprise. Kristin narrates on her Instagram page that on the day they were to film in Dwejra, they made their way down to the site but found a crucial landmark missing: “We spent a good half hour looking around the cliffs to try and spot [the Azure Window], until finally, I googled it and found out it had collapsed in 2017!!”
The pair took the mishap in very good stride: “All part of the adventure, right?” Kirstin added humourously, ensuring her followers that their day turned out into a day of running around the cliffs and taking “a million photos.”
We love the magic you spun on camera guys!
