OMG! Is Ronaldinho coming to Malta? Here are 5 reasons we think he'll love it
Whaaat?

Rumours have been circling that legendary footballer Ronaldinho is coming to Malta, primarily to sign with Maltese Club Birkirkara FC. But while hopes of the signing have been dismissed by both his brother and a local lawyer representing the star, the Brazilian footballer will still be coming to Malta, but for an entirely different reason.

With no plans to return to football, according to his brother, Ronaldinho intends to visit our islands to promote his wine brand and play in a Footvolley tournament. And while we're sure those are worthwhile pursuits, here are our top five reasons he should visit, again and again.

1. 300 days of sunshine

The Maltese Islands are known to be a land with 300 days of sunshine. While we’ve had some unseasonal weather lately, the sun is back and (hopefully!) here to stay. So he can definitely soak up some sun by the sea.

2. Delicious cuisine #obvs

We’ve got quite the cuisine that we know he’ll love. Be it the traditional pastizzi, or hearty meals like imqarrun il-forn, stuffat tal-fenek and the legendary timpana, he’ll be spoilt for choice! Perhaps he can pair them with his wine?

3. The parties are LIT

Be it summer or winter, Maltese parties are the BOMB. We’ll definitely show him how it’s done, Malta style!

4. Beachin’ it!

If he’s coming any time soon, he’ll definitely enjoy splashing around at one of Malta and Gozo’s many beaches.

5. Festa vibes

The local feasts are the place to be, serving up local treats, booze and vibes like no other. He’s sure to have a smashing time!
