Oh no! Locals react to gorgeous 19th century Msida townhouse being demolished
Another one bites the dust?

Locals, especially Msida residents, are saddened and a little enraged to see this beautiful 19th century townhouse go.

The house featured a niche of St Joseph and a plaque that had a little prayer asking the saint to watch over the Msida resident. It can be found in the heart of Msida, behind the Local Council and many are suspecting it is being demolished to make way for flats in the area.

Locals have expressed that the town now lacks identity, and many have had enough. Some have even said our legacy will suffer, as all we’re going to leave behind are concrete boxes rather than vernacular history and culture. Others have suggested renovation rather than demolition

What do you think about the situation?
