NYE in the capital! Here’s what you need to know about the festivities in Valletta

It’s NYE tomorrow! If you’re heading to Valletta to ring in the new year and celebrate with the great activities lined up, here’s everything you need to know about what’s in store.

The Travellers will be headlining the concert

You heard that right, folks! The popular Gozitan band The Travellers will be headlining the annual New Year’s Eve concert held in Valletta, happening tomorrow. The Travellers will be taking the stage at St George’s Square with the concert kicking off at 8.30pm.

Local talent to grace the stage

The concert will go on for five hours, with other local talent to hit the stage, including the band of Ozzy Lino, former Eurovision contestant Kurt Calleja, Kevin Calleja, Gaia Cauchi, The Candy Moths and D-Rey. The night will be hosted by none other than Vibe FM’s traffic trio, Nate, Frank and Rossi.

A great idea for all the family to enjoy

And if you’re not a big fan of the crowds, screens will be placed along Republic Street and in front of the Law Courts for everyone in the capital to enjoy. This is being introduced as a result of the large number of attendees during last year’s celebrations.

Getting in and out of Valletta

Worried about getting out of Valletta at the end of the night? Not to worry! Floriana Park and Ride services, and the regular bus and ferry services to and from Valletta are scheduled to be operating till 2am.
