Now this is an excellent idea! Water Point, an organisation that aims to provide micro filtrated water at an affordable price, have put various water filling stations around the islands.

Water Point gives the option to citizens to fill up their bottles for only 15 cents per litre! And get this, they’ve even got the option to choose between still or sparkling water! While they are encouraging more consumption of water for a healthy diet, they are also helping out the environment.

And many locals and expats who have tried and tested these machines are pretty satisfied. The water is good, potable water and above all, it’s an environmentally friendly way of consuming water, without the need to buy single-use plastic bottles.

So where are these Water Point machines located?

1. Mellieha, behind ‘Munchies'
2. Paceville, opposite the Vivaldi Hotel
3. Msida Circus
4. Gzira petrol station
5. Luqa at the airport petrol station
6. Marsaxlokk at the tourist office
