Oooh!

Hey travellers – there’s a new ferry in town! The Gollcher Company Ltd, as agents for Grandi navi Veloci, have announced that a new ferry service is hitting Maltese waters.

Gollcher announced that the ferry will have three weekly sailings to and from the islands. “The following RoRo ferry service routes would be served: Genoa – Malta; Sicily (Palermo) – Malta; and Naples and Civitavecchia connections are also available (from Palermo).”

Right now, Sicily and Sardegna are on Malta’s Green Travel List, meaning that travellers coming to Malta will not be subjected to a swab test. Mainland Italy however is so far on Malta’s amber list meaning passengers need to present a negative PCR test. According to Italy’s Health Ministry, Maltese travellers must  take a swab test 48 hours before entering Italy.
