New art drop! Pop-up sculpture shop opens at Il-Kamra ta’ Fuq in Mqabba this October

'The Kiss of Judas' by Antoine Paul Camilleri
Art lovers, mark your calendars! This month, il-Kamra ta’ Fuq in Mqabba is opening its doors to a unique Pop-Up Sculpture Shop, celebrating the diversity and creativity of contemporary sculptural art.
Opening this Sunday 19th October (11am–2pm) and running until 2nd November, this special showcase brings together an eclectic mix of artists and styles. Rather than following a single theme, the exhibition offers visitors the chance to explore a rich variety of forms, materials, and artistic approaches – a reflection of Malta’s ever-evolving sculptural scene.
Featuring works by Victor Agius, Eric Attard, Alfred Buttigieg, Dave Calleja, Clint Calleja, Antoine Paul Camilleri, Ioulia Chante, Daniel Diacono, Trevor Diacono, Antoine Farrugia, Amelia St George, and Emma Weller, the exhibition promises a vibrant and dynamic experience for both seasoned art enthusiasts and curious newcomers.
Curated by Melanie Erixon and Andrew E. Zarb, the Pop-Up Sculpture Shop will be open Mondays to Saturdays from 6am to noon, and Sundays from 7am to noon. Additional evening opening hours will be announced weekly.
Whether you’re an art collector or simply looking to discover something inspiring, this exhibition is an invitation to step into the world of Maltese sculpture – don’t miss it!
