Monday 7th February: 65-year-old passes away as 175 test positive for COVID-19

The Health Authority’s Facebook page, Sahha, has published today's figures. Malta has registered 175 new cases in the past 24 hours.

The islands have registered 236 recoveries, meaning that the country’s total number of active cases now stands at 2,331.

Up until yesterday 1,222,529 vaccine doses were administered in Malta. 334,448 of these are booster doses.

One COVID-19 related death was reported in the past 24 hours: a 65-year-old man. This brings the country’s virus death toll up to 570.

A total of 90 patients are being treated at Mater Dei Hospital, five of whom are in ITU.
