Mellieha to Marsaxlokk: These 16 localities are undergoing planned power cuts THIS week

A few localities around the islands are set to undergo planned power cuts this week due to maintenance works on the country’s hard-at-work power grid.

Fortunately, Enemalta, our local electricity provider, has published a list of localities that will be undergoing some planned maintenance works over the weekend. This way, you too can plan ahead.

These maintenance works are carried out regularly to ensure that the national electricity grid operates safely. 

Only select streets from the following localities will be affected.  

Here’s the full list of affected areas.

Tuesday 1st November:

  • Mgarr from 4:30am to 10am
  • San Gwann from 7am to 2pm
  • Marsaxlokk from 7am to 3pm, and from 7:30am to 12:30pm
  • Fgura from 7am to 1:30pm
  • Birzebbuga from 7am to 2pm, and from 8am to 12pm

Wednesday 2nd November:

  • Zurrieq from 8am to 12pm
  • Mellieha from 7am to 4pm, and from 6am to 3pm
  • St Paul’s Bay from 7am to 4pm,
  • Mgarr from 7am to 4pm
  • Fgura from 9am to 3:30pm
  • Marsa from 9am to 3:30pm
  • Birkirkara from 7am to 3pm
  • Hamrun from 8am to 2:30pm
  • Msida from 8am to 2:30pm
  • Kalkara from 7am to 1pm

Thursday 3rd November:

  • San Gwann from 7am to 12pm
  • Fgura from 7:30am to 1:30pm
  • Birzebbuga from 9am to 2pm
  • Attard from 7am to 4pm
  • Msida from 8am to 2pm

Friday 4th November:

  • Naxxar from 7am to 3pm
  • Haz-Zebbug from 7am to 7pm
